CAUSE AND TIMING OF DAMAGE
With respect to the cause and timing of damage, the underwriters' surveyor advised in his report dated 27 September 2016, which we freely translate, as follows:
The five-year special survey was carried out between 1 and 2 1 May 2013 during which one deformed propeller blade was straightened by hot pressure at the bending area.
The damaged propeller blade discovered on 28 April 2016 showed obvious traces of straightening at the bending area.
The surveyor concluded that the hardness of the repaired propeller blade lowered after the hot pressure repair work in May 2013 and prolonged contact with water currents between November 2013 and October 2015 caused the fracture damage discovered on 28 April 2016.

POLICY LIABILITY
The cause of damage is covered under Clause 6.2.4 of the Institute Time Clauses - Hulls (1/10/83) included in the insurance policies named above covering the period from 15 March 2013 to 20 March 2016.
The claim arising therefrom is therefore recoverable from respective hull underwriters.
